2011 OZARK CUP Design Contest Rules:
Saturday and Sunday, September 24 & 25, 2011
Downstream Resort and Casino


1) Pre-registration for Design Contest is required.
Registration can be achieved by going to the Ozark website:
www.aboutozark.com
and clicking on the " '11 Contest Entry form " tab.
Please print out form and fill out completely and mail to:

2) Entry fee is $40.00 and must be included with Entry Form ( no refund will be given ).
 Only dues paid registrants of the Ozark Florist Association
are eligible to compete. Previous winners of the Ozark Design Contest
and Ozark Cup are not eligible to compete.
All entries must be postmarked no later than
September 2, 2011 ( No late entries will be accepted ).
3) Check - in and instructions will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2011. The competition will begin at 11:30 AM sharp and end at 1:30 PM.
Clean - up of the design area by contestants will immediately follow.

4) Contestants may bring the following items into the design contest area, all in a clear zip lock bag:
Knife, scissors, wire cutters, clippers, waterproof
tape, green stem wrap tape (light +/or dark green), ONE tube of floral adhesive,needle nose pliers & one roll of 12 gauge lime green decorative wire.
No other tools or supplies will be allowed.
All materials and product to be used in the competition will be
provided. Each contestant will be given identical flowers, foliage,
accessories and containers for each design.

5) Each designer will complete three ( 3 ) designs :
a) Theme Design
b) Wedding Design
c) Sympathy Design
The specific theme and type of each design will be announced
when instructions are given.

6) Designs will be judged by number only, not by name.

7) The top five ( 5 ) finalists will be announced from the Main Stage of the Pavilion and will complete their final "Surprise Package Design-Off" ..on the Main Stage at 1:00 PM Sunday .

8) The winner of the Ozark Cup will be the Designer
with the highest overall score.
